ABOUT

HELLO!

My name is Faez Salami, and I am a multidisciplinary designer and animator based in the United States. I’m passionate about storytelling, culture, and bold visual expression, and I see design as both a strategic problem-solving tool and a powerful storytelling medium. With an MFA in graphic design and a background in computer engineering, I bring a unique balance of structure and creativity to my work. My skills span branding, character design, motion graphics, illustration, and visual development. Whether I’m building visual identities, creating original characters, or producing kinetic typography, I approach every project with intention, clarity, and a strong narrative foundation.

My background in computer engineering shapes the way I think and create. It strengthens my analytical mindset, systems thinking, precision, and ability to approach design challenges with both logic and creativity. I am based in Chicago and have collaborated with clients and creatives across the country and internationally, gaining diverse experiences that continue to influence my perspective. My goal is to create work that is culturally resonant, visually compelling, and rooted in strong conceptual thinking...design that not only looks powerful but communicates meaning and leaves a lasting impression.
